Sa araw ng Pasko - Philippines

“This song gives me that warm feeling of Christmas, even though I am on the other side of the world”

Jane Mae Tomarong

What is the song about?

The song “Sa Araw ng Pasko” speaks about the true essence of Christmas: love, faith, and togetherness. It tells how people, even when apart or facing hardship, continue to find hope and connection. The lyrics remind listeners that the spirit of Christmas lives in the heart, not in material things.

Why is the song so loved and well known in the Philippines?

I chose this song because it reminds me of my family in the Philippines, and I miss them. Christmas is very important to us. I usually celebrate it with my parents, and on December 24 we gather at my parents’ house with my brothers, sisters, and their families. For us, Christmas is a time for sharing, loving, connecting, and having fun. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to celebrate Christmas with them, which makes me sad. “Sa Araw ng Pasko” still gives me that warm feeling of Christmas, even though I am on the other side of the world.
